Welcome to the website of Cherry Hayes! Cherry is an experienced musician and gifted teacher, whose passion is sharing this love of music! She has consistently produced award-winning vocal ensembles and built highly successful choral programs at schools in Sacramento and Grass Valley, CA. Cherry currently serves as director of music at Calvary Bible Church and teaches voice and piano from her home. She is highly sought-after as a choral festival adjudicator and enjoys judging for both California Music Educator’s and Music in the Parks festivals.

Bear River High School’s show choir, Starlite Express, in competition. Cherry founded and directed this group for 19 years.

 

Cherry, an accomplished pianist, offers piano instruction to students, ages 7 – adults.

 

 

 

Cherry offers her vocal students the best of both worlds! She is classically trained, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in vocal performance, and then trained extensively in musical theatre, jazz, and pop. Cherry emphasizes correct vocal technique while coaching students in a variety of musical genres.
